Pei Ming winks at the waiter who catches it and goes red, while Feng Xin kicks him in earnest under the table.“What?” Pei Ming asks innocently. “Why are you kicking me? Are we in grade school again?”
“Stop harassing him,” Feng Xin says, shaking his head.
“Should I stare at him instead, hoping he gets the message?” Pei Ming asks in a saccharine voice and Feng Xin squawks. “Tell me, is that method effective?”

I assume you haven’t eaten recently.” Feng Xin nudges the bowl across the table so it’s a little closer to Mu Qing, eyes flitting back and forth between him and the food. “Also I made peppermint tea if you want some afterwards. And I threw away your half-cooked eggs, which was disgusting by the way, they were stuck to the pan—”
Knowing that Feng Xin rambles when he’s nervous and won’t stop once he gets going, Mu Qing snaps, “What are you doing back here?”
Feng Xin’s head jerks up, brows furrowing angrily. “Fuck, just shut up and let someone take care of you for once. Eat your fucking congee.”
(Or: Mu Qing is sick and Feng Xin takes care of him. Lots of feelings and emotions ensue.)

Eula clears her throat, feeling heat on her cheeks. She lowers her eyes to the floor so her blush won’t be so noticeable. “No,” she says. “We aren’t.”
There is such a long stretch of silence that Eula looks back up at Lisa in confusion and a little bit of challenge. “…Oh,” Lisa says finally. “I’m sorry, dear, I just assumed.”
And Eula would gladly leave that topic alone forever, but there’s something bothering her about how Lisa says it, how certain she was that she was right.
“Does everyone think that?” she asks, fighting to keep her voice level, even though her heart is racing and she feels slightly faint.
Lisa hesitates just long enough to confirm Eula’s fears.
“Oh, archons,” she says, absolutely horrified. “Oh, no.”

After exactly four seconds, Xiao is found darting away from the statue and the stranger at a speed only he, one of the fastest beings in Teyvat, could possess. Once he was back at Wangshu Inn, he throws the damned flowers at Indarias’ shrine.
Xiao steals Cecilias from Mondstadt’s statues as offerings for one of the deceased yaksha's birthday since those were their favorite flowers. One day, Venti catches him red-handed.

It is still the same smile Venti had fallen in love with over burnt eggs. It’s the same smile, but somehow, it’s a little more worn, a little more tired. It is a smile that looks like it has loved a little too much at all the wrong times, and it is now fractured at the corners and seams.
“This isn’t making you happy anymore, is it?” he asks gently.
