Riki whined, dragging the word out like a child denied candy, dramatically as he rested his chin on the countertop. "My teeth hurt again."
Sunoo didn't even look up from wiping down the counter. "You say that every three hours."
"Because they hurt every three hours."
"That's not how teeth work."
"They do now."
Sunoo finally glanced over, finding Riki pouting at him from his usual spot behind the register.
Another week as a vampire, and he'd somehow become even more whiny.
Not that Sunoo was complaining.
Or baby vampire Riki is teething and Sunoo is his teether.
