"I've just never felt very connected to my subgender. Sometimes I wish it didn't exist." The words tumbled out of Daeyoung's mouth clumsy, without rhythm and stilted despite having spent so long marinating in Daeyoung's mind.
"I understand," Yushi said after a pause. "You don't have to tell me more, only when you're ready. But if I say something that makes you uncomfortable…"
"I'll tell you," Daeyoung finished, throat constricting because he knew that wasn't necessarily the truth, even though it wasn't a lie either. Despite how Daeyoung normally felt, he didn't mind when Yushi called him his omega, or talked about how strong or handsome Daeyoung was even though those words were normally used to point out his lack of omeganess.
Maybe Daeyoung didn't mind whatever Yushi called him, because being called something meant that Yushi still wanted him.
Or, Daeyoung doesn't know how he feels about being an omega. But there are only so many things he can hide from Yushi for so long.

There was a time when Daeyoung could, without hesitation, say yes to this question. Today, it takes him a moment, and though Daeyoung thinks the answer remains unchanging on his end, his mind guides him to the possibility that it may not be the case for Sion.
