Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. This cat's name is Sebastian.
He's perfected the art of being invisible. The only Omega in Pelican Town and it's neighboring burrows has managed to pass as a beta ever since he presented as a teen by meticulously taking potentially harmful hormone blockers and various scent suppressors. He hides behind a detached, cool exterior, keeps to himself and his head down. A select few know the truth. His plan is simple: keep hiding his secondary, save every dollar he earns and escape to Zuzu City where he can blend into among the population.
But a normal weekly trip to the saloon with his friends causes his path to cross with a stranger who just rolled into town—a tall, sharp-eyed, silver tongued man that he can't stop thinking about. He’s an omega too and he sees Sebastian for exactly what he is. He's started to find a strange sense of comfort in Sterling's orbit that makes him wonder if he just might be worth the risk.
His best friend watches with growing concern, though, as he lets his curiosity take the wheel.

Sterling Cooper moved back home from Zuzu City as a final chance to try to stay clean, keep his head down and not make waves in Pelican Town. He wasn't expecting to meet someone like Eli--a rooftop-climbing, cryptid-hunting, ridiculously charming cryptozoologist who decided to drag him into a mystery of magical creatures and midnight stakeouts.
But when a chance encounter under the stars turns into nights of stargazing, half-truths, and maybe-sightings of maybe-real creatures, Sterling finds himself pulled into Eli’s world.
He’s not sure what he believes in anymore and somehow, the quiet between them feels like the safest place on Earth.
A slow-burn romance about starlight, secrets, and learning to believe in things you thought you’d lost the ability to, including yourself.

Summary
Started as a short writing exercise/drabble, turned into a short story off to the side of Mostly Mythical, and now further expanded into a full oneshot that extends the short story (Mostly Mythical B-Sides Ch. 4) and let's things become more intimate and passionate where the other version ended without showing the extended night together. This isn't in alignment with the plot of Mostly Mythical but it was too cute to NOT make an extended NSFW version.
Can be read as a standalone Sterling/Eli oneshot. Enjoy!

Summary
Sebastian, Sam, and Abigail have been best friends for years, little changing even as they all grew well into adulthood. Much like everyone else of their generation in Pelican Town, they've struggled to get on their feet and find independence, but the familiar comfort and stability of the way things have always been has been good enough for the three of them. After Sebastian and Sam's ex-friend Mallory returns to town after a decade away, however, they begin to wake up from their sleepy status quo and crave more. At least, Sam and Abigail crave more— Sebastian is afraid that change will shatter everything he holds dear.
A midquel to Coming Around Again, taking place during the events of that fic.

Age has a funny way of catching up with you. Not only in the aches and pains that weren’t there a couple years before, or the fine lines that begin to show on your face. It hits most on a random Tuesday afternoon. 1:21pm to be exact; Sebastian happened to glance at his clock before heading out the front door.
Not an unusual time for a smoke break, anytime was good. Plus, he’s ahead on several projects, or was, until he was slammed with such unsettling reality it made him sick and shut himself in the dark for an entire day.
All because of one, stupid, blonde man. Boy.

To help make ends meet, Sebastian decides to join the Adventurer's Guild, with Sam at his side. Can these two friends with benefits find true love in the Mines?

For a long minute there was nothing but silence, as Sam stared at his hands and Sebastian shifted in his chair.
"Alright," Marlon said, finally, his voice causing Sam to jump. "We've heard enough." Sam braced himself to be told to get out, but Marlon spoke again. "We'll take you both on for a trial period. You won't be full members of the Guild until you each slay ten slimes on your own, but we won't have you go down in the caves until you've had some training."
"No shit," Gil muttered, but when Sam met his gaze, he was smiling.

Summary
