Ilya is the captain, so if anything, he should be holding the leash. In English, you can be singular or plural, but he knows what Svensson is trying to say. He is saying Ilya Rozanov, you are Hollander’s bitch.
“Only sometimes,” Ilya replies, grinning. He wins the face off.
OR: Ilya trains himself to be a very, very good guard dog for Shane.

Summary
my lil self made universe about shane the captain of the ottawa centaurs and ilya, his rookie. basically, what would happen if shane was drafted 10 years before he was in HR, and then so shane signed with ottawa during his free agency after comming out to the team in Montreal and it not going super well (because fuck Montreal, amirite?).
and then ilya gets drafted the same year but directly to the centaurs.
and also troy is there for some reason.whatever, this is all so that they can fuck, no need to overthink it.
