"Get off my car," Si-eun repeats, in lieu of an answer. "Call a friend, or a cab. Go home."
The man hums lazily, nearly a purr; enough verve in it that Si-eun can feel the vibration from where he's crouched over him. "Home..." he drawls, and for a half-beat, the low bass of his voice makes Si-eun shiver.
He then promptly collapses into Si-eun.
Disgraced classical pianist Yeon Si-eun meets jazz pianist Ahn Su-ho, who didn't have any grace to begin with.

Sieun leans back, hands propping himself up, fingers weaving through the grass. All around them, small flowers spring from the ground, with whisper-thin yellow petals, delicate as tissue paper, circling orange centres.
“Let’s not think about it,” he says.
And if Sieun isn’t worried, that’s enough for Suho.
“Okay, let’s talk about something else.”
While Suho recovers, he dreams.

The one thing that’s changed over the years, though, is them, and Tsumugi tries very hard not to think about how the silence between them, once comfortable, now has an awkward tension that neither of them seem to be able to break.
He shakes his head to clear it of those kinds of thoughts, because veering back down that road is dangerous and entirely unproductive.
Time is moving forward.
Maybe it’s time for him to move on with it.
