This series chronicles the friendship of Gimli and Legolas from their time in the Fellowship all the way to many years after they've sailed and made a home in Valinor. The history covered is over 150 years, though the stories are not always told in chronological order. There is no slash here. These are merely friendship stories.

Notes:

For this series to make sense, you have to accept our alternate universe where elves come of age at 1,000 years, making Legolas, who is around 800 (15/16 human terms) a the time of the quest making him relatively one of the youngest members of the fellowship. In our alternate universes Gimli has been asked by Aragorn to act as a guardian to Legolas throughout the quest until he can be returned home. Beyond that Thranduil asks him to continue that guardianship when they move south and then on into Valinor.

We do know what Professor Tolkien said about when elves come of age, but we have decided to very respectfully ignore that to fit our world. We wanted a parent/child sort of relationship between Legolas and Gimli, so we had to change the facts a bit. We do realize this may not sit well with everyone, but we enjoy writing it.

These stories were also originally written for a discipline fiction group, so many of them contain consensual (tacit agreement) non sexual, spanking of a minor, and in some rare instances non consensual physical discipline.

If you are offended by either the discipline aspect or the stray from canon, please do not read. However we love to hear (polite) comments from readers who accept our universe as it is.

There are fifty stories written for this series, so there are many that have not yet been posted here on ao3. We would like to know if people are interested in reading the rest of them.
