Summary
The scene they come upon is disturbing: Occtis is curled tightly into a ball with his head tucked into his knees, and he is whimpering and shaking. As Vaelus kneels beside him and lays a hand on his shoulder, Occtis unfurls long enough to hiss at her, before scuttling backwards until he reaches the farmhouse walls. He curls up again, pressing himself into the wall as if he could phase through it with enough force.
Occtis lost his soul at the hands of his family, and nearly lost his body, too. It shouldn’t be surprising, then, that they come for his mind next.

Summary
“I think we'll get along well,” the scythe rumbled. “And stop referring to me as ‘scythe’. You know my name. Use it. Praise it.”
“So you can hear my thoughts, then,” Kayn said.
“Some. I can feel the hesitance. You are wary of me, as any smart man would be. But you have already made your choice, there's no use being shy now.”
“You never finished telling me,” Kayn said, reaching out a hand and running it along the blade with intrigue, “what it is you want.”
“Say my name.”
“Tell me. Rhaast.”
Takes place immediately following "The Lure" by Dan Abnett and carries on through the bios and breakdowns on League's official Odyssey page.
