Summary
Endgame fix-it, slowish burn, little angst, some smut and mostly fluff, with a happy ending.
Basically I’m scratching and reversing the Endgame ending, Steve does go to place the stones back, but he does not stay in the past with Peggy, like what the hell was that?! We’ll see these two men learn to communicate and face some feelings they had pushed back because of some tiny issues like aliens and such.

“I missed you a lot, Buck.”
Bucky looked up from his drink, their eyes meeting. Steve's full, bulky body was now facing him, a serious look painting his face.
Maybe it was the tone — of longing? — in his voice or the serious expression — or both — that beckoned him, but his body moved before it even registered in his head. The next thing he knew, his whole body was already facing Steve, giving him his full, undivided attention.
“I mean, you were the sole reason I even went on that rescue mission in the first place. Now– don't get me wrong– I'm– I'm glad I was able to rescue the others too, but…” Steve trailed off. A tense look creeped onto his face as looked off to the side. He continued, voice low, “I don't really know how the rest of your unit would've fared if you hadn't been one of the ones captured in the first place. Y'know… with me doing this outta nowhere with no planning– all of it riding on just the chance that you're still alive.”
