“Where is she,” Aaron interrupts, looking around impatiently.
“Who?”
“My daughter. Katniss,” Aaron says shortly.
Emily holds his eye contact stoically. “I’m SSA Prentiss, we spoke on the phone.” She holds her hand out for a shake but he just stares at it, nonplussed. “This is my unit chief SSA Everdeen, his daughter is one of the victims. We were on the case originally six years ago before it went cold.” -

He cut himself off before he could do something stupid, like share what he was actually thinking: that the residual sensation of Robby’s harsh touch was still lighting up his skin all over. Or, that, until last night, he had been convinced that his pleasure was locked up like medication in a child-proof container, to be dispensed at the exclusive whims of the only other person who had ever been able to access it. That maybe bad sex could feel good, that he liked being the agent of his own injury, but that it would never approximate the shameful, defiant pleasure of someone taking that choice away from him.

It’s ridiculous, how surprising it feels, but Dennis can’t help it. Dr. Robby belongs in the Pitt — he is the Pitt. To see him outside of the PTMC feels like seeing your school teacher in the grocery store as a pre-teen — unsettling, mildly world-shifting, and leaving you feeling slightly giddy.
When Dennis finds out his boss is a part of a less-than-typical subculture, he finds himself falling down the rabbit hole of kink, self-exploration, and how to find that balance between what you really want versus what you actually end up getting.

Sure, Robby had a reputation for being a bit of a flirt, but he also had boundaries. She assumed (hoped?) that those boundaries excluded wide-eyed, twenty-something year old med students.
OR
5 times the PTMC staff were worried about Robby's inappropriate behavior towards Whitaker + 1 time they realized Whitaker was exactly where he wanted to be.
