Summary
The Mighty Nein were not unfamiliar with the concept of losing fights, as much as they hated to admit it. This time, however, their loss resulted in Molly barely managing to drag Caleb to safety in time to be rescued by Essek. Now in the wake of the fight, they were left with processing the array of emotions that remained. Essek's guilt, Molly's fear, and Caleb's still recovering state combined to make three people who just desperately needed a good night's rest.

Every moment spent with Iris' eyes closed was another drop in his chest, like stones being lowered onto his ribcage. Lillium couldn't breathe, his hands shaking where they grasped the black fabric of Iris' shirt.
Pale pink eyes tentatively met black ones, Iris' eyelids fluttering up in a daze.
